On the north side of the river is the Citadel, the centre of the historic city. Most of Hue’s important monuments, temples, and pagodas are found in this area. The south side of the river is newer, and contains most of the city’s business and residential area.
Hue’s most outstanding attractions are the royal citadel, an imperial city and the emperor’s tombs.
Hue’s complex of monuments is listed among the UNESCO’S World Heritage Sites.
Hue is very tranquil and marvelous city in the central part of Vietnam. There are many famous people who were born in Hue or had spent some time in this beautiful city. The city is one of the most popular for tourists in Vietnam.
Some of the heritage can be seen in the Hue Museum of Royal Fine Arts on 3 Le Truc Street.
